Shiatsu Therapy
Shiatsu is Japanese, though its map is Chinese. It reads the body along the meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine — the same lines an acupuncturist works, followed here by hand rather than by needle. Pressure, some stretching, a joint opened slowly: the vocabulary is small, and most of it is listening.
What Is Shiatsu Massage
In a session:
The hand reads before it works. It finds where the body holds — a tightness, a fullness, a place that gives too easily — and answers each with the pressure it asks for: steady where there is tension, lighter where there is little to meet. Thumbs and palms mostly, sometimes an elbow or a knee. A stretch. A joint turned through its range.
Qi is the tradition’s word for what the hand is tracking through all this. Not a force to be felt for, but the name for how the body reads under pressure — where it is full, where it is empty, where it moves and where it has stopped.
You stay clothed, in loose clothes, on a futon on the floor — which gives the work more room than a table does. A first session starts with time to talk: what you’ve come with, how you sleep, how you digest, what the season is doing to you. A session takes as long as the work asks. That’s arranged beforehand, not fixed to the clock.
Shiatsu Session: What to expect?
People usually come for something they can name — a neck that won’t loosen, sleep that won’t hold, a fatigue they’ve stopped questioning. Often the named thing isn’t the first to move. Tension held long enough stops registering as tension; it becomes just how the body is. Shiatsu’s plainest effect is to make that legible again, and from there the thing you came for tends to have more room to change.
Shiatsu Massage: The Benefits
Shiatsu can be effective in alleviating chronic pain conditions such as back pain, neck stiffness, and headaches.
The therapy may enhance digestive function and promote better sleep quality, making it beneficial for those with insomnia or digestive issues.
Shiatsu is also recognized for its ability to help clients achieve emotional equilibrium, addressing issues such as fatigue and mood swings.
In summary, a Shiatsu session is a deeply relaxing and therapeutic experience that combines various techniques to promote physical, emotional, and energetic balance. Whether you are seeking relief from specific ailments or simply looking to unwind, Shiatsu offers a holistic approach to well-being.

Hear What they Say
He is a highly professional therapist – attentive, caring, and very thoughtful. I would recommend him to anyone.
My tired body finally felt deeply relaxed, and I genuinely felt healed.
If my travel schedule allows, I would love to come back again.
During the session I felt reliefed of tension and restored the body to a state that it hasn’t been to for a while. It felt like I’ve been to the deep space restoration station a got back with the inner system sounding in a different way. As if I got a new face. And that’s always reviving, I guess.
I can see how several days after the session the changes heard by the body are slowly and gently revealing the reality around me, bringing peace, care and comfort back to my life. The treatment starts with the attitude of the therapist, and makes it a wonderous fulfilling experience, cause in healing everything matters, and it's the main principle of holism, which I strongly believe in.
