Shiatsu Therapy
Shiatsu takes a more holistic, energy based approach compared to the physical relaxation and pain relief focus of other massage modalities. Its unique techniques and philosophy set it apart as a distinct massage therapy.
Shiatsu
A Shiatsu session is a unique and holistic form of bodywork that originates from Japan, and nevertheless is based on the traditional Chinese medicine principles. Shiatsu combines elements of acupressure, stretching, and gentle manipulation.
A Shiatsu session typically lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. The first session may include an additional time for an initial consultation, where the practitioner gathers your health history and discusses any specific issues or concerns you may have.
Shiatsu is usually performed on a futon or mat placed on the floor, allowing for a comfortable and spacious environment. Clients remain fully clothed throughout the session, so it is recommended to wear loose, comfortable attire that allows for easy movement.

Session
During the session, the practitioner employs a variety of techniques, including:
Using their thumbs, fingers, palms, and more rarely elbows, and knees, the practitioner applies pressure to specific points on the body, known as meridians. This is intended to release tension and improve the flow of Qi (energy) throughout the body.
Gentle stretching and joint rotations are incorporated to enhance flexibility and alleviate stiffness. This aspect of Shiatsu helps to improve the range of motion and promote relaxation.
The session is often described as a "dance" between the practitioner and the client, focusing on open communication to ensure comfort and relaxation. The intensity of the pressure can vary based on individual needs and preference.
Shiatsu is known for its wide range of benefits; many clients report a significant reduction in stress and anxiety levels following a session, contributing to overall mental well-being.
Benefits
Shiatsu can be effective in alleviating chronic pain conditions such as back pain, neck stiffness, and headaches.
The therapy may enhance digestive function and promote better sleep quality, making it beneficial for those with insomnia or digestive issues.
Shiatsu is also recognized for its ability to help clients achieve emotional equilibrium, addressing issues such as fatigue and mood swings.
In summary, a Shiatsu session is a deeply relaxing and therapeutic experience that combines various techniques to promote physical, emotional, and energetic balance. Whether you are seeking relief from specific ailments or simply looking to unwind, Shiatsu offers a holistic approach to well-being.

I had an immediate improvement: Before, when I got into the car I had to take my right leg with both hands. My left ankle has diminished a lot and doesn’t bother me. I advertised by talking about your massages, which aren’t really massages but are more than targeted massages studied with mastery and professionalism.
